【Abstract】Objective: To discuss the best reasonable body posture for AABR screening in infants . Method: Newborns and infants born in Quanzhou who failed with TEOAE screening, Audiometric evaluations were performed in our hospital Hearing and Speech Center. Nine hundred and fifty-four ears (954 infants) were randomly divided into two groups. seven hundred and eighty-one ears (469 infants)who was tested in supine position in control group ,and observational group with eight hundred and three ears (485 infants) was tested in lateral position. All will be tested by ABR who referred for AABR screening. Results: In control group, two hundred and eighty-four ears (178 infants) failed AABR screening and one thousand four hundred and twenty-nine ears (854 infants) passed. In observational group one hundred and twenty-nine ears (78 infants) referred AABR screening and eight hundred and three ears (485 infants) passed. The false positive rate of the screening was much higher in control group. Conclusion: Thet lateral position will be suitable for AABR screening.
